NNG Hires Former Director of Chrysler Uconnect
Jim Robnett Becomes VP of Auto OEM Relations
Starting in January, former Director of Chrysler Uconnect Systems and Services, Jim Robnett, has taken over the role of Vice President of Automotive OEM Relations at NNG, a leading supplier of GPS navigation software to the automotive industry.
Robnett is responsible for shaping the company’s consulting function in the global automotive industry; he is based in Detroit.
“I have been in and around the in-vehicle navigation business for over 15 years. As an industry, we have not always done a great job of serving our end customers. Too often, navigation continues to be a high-priced option that doesn’t meet the needs of our customers, especially for providing up-to-date data and easy search and destination entry. If the OEMs are going to continue to add value from an embedded navigation and Location Based Services standpoint, they will need partners like NNG working with their Tier 1s to help deliver this value,” said Robnett.
Prior to Chrysler, Robnett held executive positions at Nokia (VP Auto Sales Americas), SiriusXM (VP OEM), RaySat (VP sales and marketing), and Denso (Director Sales and Marketing North America).
